Traralgon: a tableau through time.
Published by the Traralgon & District Historical Society in 1984, this is a compilation of 188 black and white photographs of Traralgon over the years, professionally printed on high-quality paper. It includes a detailed time line, list of Shire Presidents and Mayors, and brief details of origin of street names. There is an index to organisations. 80 pages, $20.00.

Concentrates on themes in the history of development of the Valley, with examples of buildings and places that demonstrate those themes. Extensively illustrated. Two hundred years on the Wright side
Written by John Power, it tells the story of John Wright, who established the Flynns Creek hotel in 1875, and his family. 77 pages, illustrated, $10.00

Notes on Gippsland History Vol 1: The Exploration of Gippsland.
First in a series bringing together historical notes by the Rev George Cox from the Yarram. These were published in the Yarram Standard between 1913 and 1922, and included material from interviews with the earliest European settlers. Typescript, processed, indexed. 86 pages. $5.00

A press missionary: the life of Thomas Allard Pettit.
Written by Margaret A. Jenkins, this is the story of the first proprietor of the Gippsland Farmers Journal, which Pettit established at Traralgon in 1887. This later became the Traralgon Journal. Not paginated, but possibly in excess of 150 pages. Illustrated. $17.00

George Bolton Eagle, Edward and Dr Edmund Hobson: a story from Traralgon in the 1840s
The story of Traralgon's first European squatters. 7 pages, processed, $5.00
